Military and Senior Discounts - 10% off, everyday, no coupon code, pre-registration required
Here at String Theory Needlearts we've been tossing around the idea of granting discounts to military and seniors for a while now. A 10% no-coupon-required discount that's attached to your account with us, usable everyday (even during sales!)
Under normal circumstances, if we were a brick & mortar store, we'd simply ask to see the appropriate ID and everything would be done. However, since we're internet-based, showing us your ID at checkout is impossible, which complicates the logistics of granting such discounts.
So, we'd like to extend this invitation:
If you're willing (this is completely voluntary), please feel free scan (or take a picture of) your gov't issued ID and email it to discounts (at) stringtheoryneedlearts (dot) com.
Those with less confidence with using technology can feel free to snail mail a photocopy to us at PO Box 2261, Dacula, GA 30019.
Please black-out anything you deem personal, especially your license number or SSN. And PLEASE make sure the info being provided matches what we have on record for you. We already have your name and address in our records if you've already placed an order with us, and probably your phone number, too.
YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT IN OUR DATABASE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THIS DISCOUNT AND IT WILL NOT BE RETRO'D FOR PREVIOUS PURCHASES.
For 65+ seniors, all we're looking for is something that officially confirms your name and birthday, beyond you simply telling us "I'm 65+".
For military (active or veteran), we aren't asking anyone to send a copy of their DD-214 (you CAN if you really WANT to), but many states DO have options to indicate veteran status on your drivers license if you've submitted the proper paperwork to the state (GA does, for example). Your military-issued ID will suffice just fine, too, or just let us know if your account's address is actually an APO.
Please be assured that any digital attachments emailed to us will be immediately purged once we've updated your account. Similarly, anything sent to us via hard copy/snail mail will be shredded immediately after we've updated your account.
Before anyone asks - no, you can't have both discounts if you happen to be a senior-aged veteran. Sorry, we have to draw a line somewhere! Please note that these discounts may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice. Thanks!
